๐Ÿšจ Campaign in Progress โ€” Help Us Get There

When disaster strikes,
animals need a hero too

We're working to put an Animal Emergency Response Unit on the road in West Texas โ€” ready to deploy the moment a wildfire, tornado, flood, or apartment fire threatens pets and families in our community.

Disasters don't wait โ€”
and right now, neither can animals

When catastrophe hits Abilene and the surrounding region, pet owners are often forced to make an impossible choice: their own safety, or their animals. In this entire area, there is currently no dedicated animal emergency response unit. That has to change.

๐Ÿ”ฅ

Wildfires

West Texas is no stranger to fast-moving grass fires. In minutes, horses, livestock, dogs, and cats can be cut off from escape routes. Speed and preparedness are everything.

๐ŸŒช๏ธ

Tornadoes

Tornado season can devastate entire neighborhoods in seconds, leaving animals trapped in rubble, injured, or wandering in panic while families shelter elsewhere.

๐ŸŒŠ

Flash Flooding

Sudden downpours in the Texas plains can send walls of water through neighborhoods. Pets left home alone have no way to escape rising water on their own.

๐Ÿข

Apartment Fires

When an apartment complex catches fire, dozens of families and their pets are displaced at once. Emergency shelter, reunification, and first aid are all needed immediately.

โšก

Severe Storms

Ice storms, straight-line winds, and prolonged power outages put elderly pets and temperature-sensitive animals at serious risk of illness and death.

๐Ÿš๏ธ

Structural Collapses

Gas explosions, structural failures, and other emergencies can leave pets trapped and injured, requiring immediate specialized rescue and medical triage.

โš ๏ธ There is currently no dedicated animal emergency response vehicle in this area.

When disaster strikes right now, there is no mobile unit equipped to respond, no rolling shelter, no on-scene medical support for animals. ASAP is stepping up to fill that gap โ€” but we need your help to get there.
